Active Shooter

Active shooter incidents are on the rise and first responders need better training now more than ever. With courses on phases and prevention, recognition and basic response, and tactical tips for engaging with an active shooter, law enforcement will learn to be better prepared if the need should ever arise.

Active Shooter 4 This course addresses collaborating with campus police agencies for active shooter response, challenges to implementing active shooter response training, the importance of rapid deployment, training teachers to respond to active shooter incidents, and how to provide EMS care during volatile, potentially unsafe scenes. 1h
Active Shooter Preparation and Response for Schools This course focuses on what to do in situations that put you and your students at risk. The course in its totality will cover assessing and reducing risk, ensuring response procedures are in place, debriefing and recovering post-incidents, and staying prepared through mock-drill training with staff and students. 1h
Active Shooter: Phases and Prevention This course will discuss the mindset of an active shooter incident from a basic prevention and recognition standpoint.  We will begin by giving a high-level overview of the five phases of an active shooter incident from planning through execution; we will also lay out the proper recognition of an active shooter incident, discuss prevention strategies in the context of a school shooter, and examine basic response planning practices and considerations. 1h
Active Shooter: Recognition and Basic Response The increase in mass shootings and recent tragedies such as the Parkland shooting makes the topic of this course a reality for law enforcement throughout the United States. While each shooting is different and has challenges of its own, this course will review case studies of active shooters and give useful and actionable knowledge that will serve officers responding to active shooter events. 1h
Ambush Awareness and Preparation There will be times in your career that you will find yourself in a situation that your instincts will scream,  ambush; While it is challenging to prepare for every situation or environment, there are precautionary steps and tactics officers can take that will give them the most favorable outcome possible. This course is designed to educate officers on the threat ambushes present and create awareness of this critical issue. It provides a detailed overview and offers comprehensive case studies and analyses of incidents. The case studies will provide information on how the ambush occurred and what steps could have been taken to prevent a deadly outcome. 1h
Law Enforcement Response to Active Shooter Incidents In this two-hour course, you will learn the proper responses to an active shooter incident; gain an understanding of past incidents, as well as future incident prevention. 2h
